This happened in Aiea, a lady had fire damage from the stove; this affected the ceiling and the cupboards alike. This was a heavy-sooted fire, with most of the kitchen being affected by it. The heat from this fire made the lead paint on the cupboards peel and the roof to be heavily damaged. As seen in the picture there was a great deal of soot, the team made the decision to remove the ceiling because of the amount of damage. We came in and were asked to remove the ceiling and she would call in a contractor outside of this.
